WATCHING YOUR CHILD PASS AWAY is the hardest thing any parent can endure, I once told a friend. And so the idea of Jakob's Golf Day was born. We decided that it would be a fitt ing tribute to Jakob's memory if we supported The RCH Good Friday Appeal. That friend was Tony Vujic from The Pumphouse Hotel. Golf nuts that we are, we decided that the best way to raise money would be through a charity golf day. So when it says “Proudly supported by The Pumphouse Hotel”, it is more than just words. It's the support of a good friend with a Big Heart that was Touched By a Little Hand.

IN SEPTEMBER 2000, a little boy named Jakob Luka Glavan passed away after a short illness, at the age of 9 months and 5 days. He was born with a rare condition affecting his Urea Cycle (body's cycle for processing protein). Despite the efforts of some of the world's best medical staff, he passed away at the Royal Children's Hospital. This is obviously heartbreaking for any parent, it is also the reason you are reading this.
