Jakob's Golf Day 2007
Royal Children's Hospital The big winners !!!

April 5th, 2007 saw the second running of Jakob's Golf Day, where over 70 supporters of the Royal Children's Hospital gathered for a fun day of golf, drinks and plenty of laughs, with the express aim of raising money for the Good Friday Appeal, in memory of little Jakob Luka Glavan.

The result was a great day and a great evening as the day continued into the night, with a cocktail party that saw many non golfers join in the spirit and enjoy the hospitality of The Pumphouse Hotel in Carlton. The final result for the event was a fantastic figure of over $37,000 raised for the Good Friday Appeal, making it one of the biggest private fund raisers for the GFA. As stressed, many times on the day it is only through the generous support of many people that this figure could be reached.

There were many contributions but one that I would like to mention was from Mark Rudan of Sydney FC, who generously donated his own Sydney FC top signed by the championship team from the inaugural A League season, this was accompanied by a brief letter which both arrived on the day unexpectedly. Thank you to Mark for taking the time and making the effort to contribute to the day, as did so many others both financially through donations and auction items.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the following groups, organisations and companies for their generous support:

The Pumphouse Hotel; Greg Rako The Good Guys; Retire Care (Keilor); Stack It Shelving Co; The Croatian Golf Club; AHD (Dom Footscray); Horvat Financial Advisers; Tom Lovric; Melbourne Electrical; Citywide Business Machines; ABC Home Security; Barkly Glass; S.M Industries

A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated their time and/or money regardless of how much, it all contributed to the final result which is better facilities for all of our children when they need it most.
